Online Kyudoku
How to play
Kyudoku is a logic puzzle derived from Sudoku with very simple rules. It is also known as NineFind. Each puzzle consists of a 6×6 grid of numbers, one of which is already selected (in green).
Using logical deduction (eliminating impossible choices), choose the numbers so that the sum of each row or column is equal to or less than 9. Each number (from 1 to 9) must appear only once.
The game ends when 9 unique numbers are selected on the grid and the sum rule is respected.
Strategies for Kyodoku
Here are some tips for moving forward when you get stuck:
Intersection: If two identical digits (8) are present only in a column and a row (or multiple times in the row/column), then the digit at the intersection (9) is invalid if the sum of the two is greater than 9.
Deductive Deadlock: If the 2 in L2C1 is chosen, then the 8 and 9 in C1 are invalid because S > 9. There’s an 8 and a 9 left in L5, which is impossible because S > 9, so the 2 in L2C1 is invalid. The other 2 will be chosen.
